When noone fell for her dramatics Miranda was more upset than she had pretended to be. Never once had her attempts to manipulate a man failed so spectacularly as they had just then. al’Zand had only eyes for the boy — they all did and it irked her beyond recognition.
-

Sleep came and so did the dreams. And for once Alushtas was more than grateful to relay the message.
-

The vial was the only thing that Rosana had eyes for. The murky mixture smelled of herbs. She watched al’Zand carefully but it didn’t seem to have any visible effects.
-

ae’Nyx handed him the vial and then pretended to go to sleep. It was a feint of embarrassment or anxiousness but I held the vial in my fingers and watched the slow change in ae’Nyx’s breathing. The rise and fall of his chest slowed to sleep and he was taken into oblivion.
-

What an interesting group! So much fun.
-

al’Zand was being a prick. Well not really. Just wasn’t playing along. But Rosana was easy t o manipulate — easy to toy with so she did. That was her thing after all. al’Zand was too occupied with the boy.

There was a darkening of Zand’s eyes. He smiled and his eyes smiled when he looked at me, but the despair of the Leech fell upon some quicker than others.
-

His eyes were bewitching me. I couldn’t think about anything else. Miranda ushered us off and I didn’t protest. She was getting bossy. No more bossier than usual but it was starting to irk me.
-

Miranda wouldn’t take no for an answer. She ushered us all up the stairs and into their very spacious room. I didn’t have time to protest and when I opened my mouth Miranda just smiled and pressed a finger to my lips., leaned in and whispered, “We all want something here.”

The boys were having an exhausting talk. Though the insider information that the handsome knight looking man’s name was amusing. Miranda didn’t want to giggle, but she felt the same as ae’Nyx. It was a silly play on words. And he would thus be called Rain from here on out — apparently ae’Nyx thought so…

The food was hot and passable. Zand seemed a little less concerned after I told him why I was cold, but not much. He made sure I ate and growled a little under his breathe when Oog ate one of the loaves of bread. I couldn’t eat it anyway. I would probably make myself sick…
-

Alushtas followed the men folk to the table. The boggle helped himself to bread delivered to the frail looking boy who could only be his half brother. In the dim light of the inn he didn’t doubt it anymore.
-

Miranda immediately fell into her lie of their nuptials and it annoyed the fuck out of me. The boy in my arms didn’t react favorably to the news. He’d fallen a little. Maybe it was just the chills getting to him finally.
-

The stars aligned. Or it was all a bunch of coincidences rolled into one. Miranda jumped up at the sight of three men walking in. The bright blue-eyed man sighed heavily as she approached, but he offered her a bag and more instruments and Miranda clapped her hands.
-

The boggle spoke with the boy fluent in Sylvan. Their conversation was interesting. Why would the boy need boggle oil? And oddly enough, he looked like his father, the same shape of eyes, the pallor of his skin. It had been a while since Alushtas had seen Riva, but there was no mistaking his father’s…

Fate had a way of bringing people together. I recognized the pack carried by the man at the end of the alley. He dropped our things as he picked up the gross-looking creature, but it was the way the beautiful boy pleaded with me and the other man’s voice pervading my thoughts. Here he was…
-

I looked at him with pleading eyes. I could feel my lip quivering. The man with the blue eyes stared back at me. “Please, don’t let him kill the boggle.”
-

Rosana nodded. “I’m looking for a boy about sixteen. Half elf who creates a very special elixir that apparently he brews from Boggle oil. You wouldn’t know where any boggles are?”
-

The red head was wary of her advances and Miranda understood. New city — new dangers. But this woman looked like she could handle herself. And after she offered to help, the woman looked at Miranda with even more caution. A devastating smile swept across Miranda’s lips and she winked with a seductive lick of…
-

Blue eyes stared at me. My side aches and I found it hard to breathe. Whether it was from the blow or from the intense state of the man in front of me, I didn’t know. He was beautiful.
