Ashbourne
The weather is still cold, but it’s slowly getting warmer with Spring well on its way. The day light hours are as long as those of the night, but the nights are getting shorter. In the Wellsorrow Region, the Shadowfell despair is fading in its cycle. The people of Ashbourne and surrounding areas are feeling happier and it’s easier to shake the despair, and harder to fall under its influence. There is a half moon in the night sky tonight.

His eyes were bewitching me. I couldn’t think about anything else. Miranda ushered us off and I didn’t protest. She was getting bossy. No more bossier than usual but it was starting to irk me.
Rosana claimed a bed after my suggestion and as I turned to see where ae’Nyx had gone to I saw him unfurl his bedroll in a corner. The creature he’d taken up with opened a portal and snatched a pillow right from under Miranda’s head and I bit back my laughter. It was at least amusing.
Oog curled up on the pillow next to where ae’Nyx sat down and pulled a vial from his belt and took a long draw of the murky green contents. I knelt down with him. “You can sleep in the other bed.”
He shook his head. “I’m good here.”
I looked back at Miranda lounging on Rosana’s bed and watching the red head freak out a little in her mind while Rain removed his shiny plate armor.
I sat down on the floor and crossed my legs. “Are you sure you are okay?”
ae’Nyx smiled softly and his eyes lit up the purple flecks almost shining with emotions. “I’m okay. Thank you for caring.” The latter came out with the feeling that no one had ever cared for him before.
My heart pounded in my chest and I only had one thought in my head, but there was a deep sadness around me. I didn’t know what was going on. This feeling… was so different.
