We will be using the base rules for Tag and Tally.
Species
To play as the intended chosen one designed for this campaign you should choose the Chorari Species and pick or create your own soul.
A Chorari may look like any species, as an Ashtari can be of any Gemini bloodline regardless of their looks.
There are other species in the character options, as well as suggested types, but you are free to make your own with in the Tag and Tally rule set.
Childhood Background
As a Chorari, you must undergo the Convergence Ceremony. You should choose or create your own background tag to this regards. Below are some options
- Soulbound
- Converged with Another
- Found my Soulmate
- Reunited
As a Chorari, you have a secondary personality that has a telepathic link, and you can commune with them in the dream world. They cannot however take control of the physical body, though they do see through your eyes, hear through your ears and can speak through your mouth should you let them.
Adolescent Background
No matter which species you take your background should be in training to fight the nether forces. You may take one of the backgrounds below, or create your own.
- Trained to Repel the Darkness
- Wayfinder Apprentice
- Creature Feature
- Raised in Elysian
Gear Loadouts
In addition to the traditional load out. A new character may augment gear with the following options:
- 2 pieces of gear with a common augment each
- 1 piece of gear with an uncommon augment
First create the item with a level. Then pick a creature type and part and create your augmentation based on the part selected. (Note: Each part has a sentence with a special ability.) You may not augment your Flaw-breaker item.
- 1 weapon of choice
- 1 armor of choice — typical chest piece for zone loadouts
- 1 specialized piece of gear — linked to your type or specialty
- 1 communication/utility device — a smartphone, a lantern, etc
- 3 addition items of choice
- 1 Personal Memento Fixed at Level 1
- 1 Flaw-breaker item — optional Level 10 mini-quest backstory item to overcome a flaw
Specialties
A few specialties are listed in the character options but feel free to create your own.
Known Factions
If you playing the intended path you are a part of "The Empyrean Wardens" faction. You start out with a [Loyal] (+1) relationship.
If you are following your own path you may pick or create your own faction to join at [Loyal] (+1) relationship. Just make sure that it is part of a background or experience tag.
You are [Indifferent] (+0) to all other factions.
Known Relationships
You are allowed to create up to three NPCs of your own to know at character creation. They should be tied to a background or experience in your character sheet.
In addition to these three you can choose a mentor NPC of your suggested type or create your own. Your mentor should be tied to your "Training" background as an Adolescent.
