The weather is still cold, but it’s slowly getting warmer with Spring well on its way. The day light hours are as long as those of the night, but the nights are getting shorter. In the Wellsorrow Region, the Shadowfell despair is fading in its cycle. The people of Ashbourne and surrounding areas are feeling happier and it’s easier to shake the despair, and harder to fall under its influence. There is a half moon in the night sky tonight. A red comet will be visible throughout most of the night.
Shadowfell Despair Check: DC 9/15
The boys slept and Alushtas fell into a soft slumber himself. The women never returned. No footsteps padded across the floor in the middle of the night. The world woke with a new dawn and Alushtas was awake with the crowing of the far off rooster.
It was a bright new day. The loom of the leech was felt but the despair of his homeland slide from his skin. He rolled his things back into his backpack and kicked the feet of the boys lying on the floor.
“The women are gone.” The bed were made still and there was no sign of the redheads gear. Miranda’s things still lay in a pile. “I don’t think they slept here last night. I don’t want to belittle their initiative, but I’m certain they never returned after you went to sleep.”
The boys roused slowly though they both looked a little pained. “What’s wrong?” he asked.
