The weather is still cold, but it’s slowly getting warmer with Spring well on its way. The day light hours are as long as those of the night, but the nights are getting shorter. In the Wellsorrow Region, the Shadowfell despair is fading in its cycle. The people of Ashbourne and surrounding areas are feeling happier and it’s easier to shake the despair, and harder to fall under its influence. There is a half moon in the night sky tonight. A red comet will be visible throughout most of the night.
Shadowfell Despair Check: DC 9/15
Down the stairs and out into the night, Rosana ran. It wasn’t exactly fleeing, but she had what she needed and the boy didn’t matter.
Footfalls behind her alerted her to being followed and she ducked into the darkened alley where she concentrated on her form. The muscles in her body shifted slight, the bones realigned. Some lengthened and others shrank, where she had been tall and lithe like an elf, Rosana now looked like a dwarf with a stocky build and a graying beard.
Hadril Copperforged stepped out of the other side of the alley at a slow walk carrying the prized vial in his oversized hand. A smile spread across his lips as the footsteps faded from his ears and now Hadril was free to find the guild house. He needed to be gone from this vile place. It’s darkness was seeping into his bones.
