The weather is still cold, but it’s slowly getting warmer with Spring well on its way. The day light hours are as long as those of the night, but the nights are getting shorter. In the Wellsorrow Region, the Shadowfell despair is fading in its cycle. The people of Ashbourne and surrounding areas are feeling happier and it’s easier to shake the despair, and harder to fall under its influence. There is a half moon in the night sky tonight.
Shadowfell Despair Check: DC 9/15
The city was fabulous. I hadn’t found who I was looking for. But then I hadn’t even bothered to stop and ask either. The sun sank in the sky. The moon rose and the feeling of home settled upon the land. It was comforting in the grays and the despair from the Leech, while only a fraction of what was home, made Ashbourne all that more familiar.
I lost the awe as the light faded and Alushtas made for his mark. The draw was keener now that his mistress had a tighter grip on the world. The boy beckoned and I would find him.
I wandered the city as before but with a purpose following my eyes and ears. The scent of despair that one of our lineage could only have. And in the darkness a man carrying to packs ran towards Alushtas. Whatever should I do? The possibilities were endless from letting him go to becoming a casualty of a quick armored boot to the chest.
