I’ll reblog an old post today since it’s the day no one will every forget. I know I’m just a fictional character and my truths don’t matter to much of anyone, but even for me this day had a big impact.
The love New York City shared in the real world this day. We overcame all odds. Some assholes wanted to tear us down but instead it only made us stronger.
And that’s all I’ll say. So much love that day, so much stronger together. Reminds me of Independence Day speech. So moving, Aliens attack the world – the human race and we bind together. We destroyed them. It didn’t matter what race we were or what our sexuality was. None of it matters.
Love everyday. Live like it was your last. Cause you never know when it will end.

I guess this falls along the same line as the whole New York City Resident thing. I’m American by birth. I don’t really follow the whole patriotic thing since as Venatori we saw ourselves outside of the human race.
But when 9/11 happened, it happened to us too. I was 9 when the Twin Towers fell. I felt the ground shake. The whole City reacted. Venatori died that day. The Venatori reacted. It wasn’t the same reaction. We pulled in our people made sure we lost no one else. I was too young to really understand.
But AJ remembers 9/11. The city behind everyone. Seeing the images on television was endless. AJ stopped watching TV for a few weeks completely less the emotions flow. There were moments of panic…
