Shadowfell Despair

The Shadowfell Despair waxes and wanes on a 38 day cycle. Every day a character in Ashbourne has to make a DC 10 + the modifier below to check to see if the character falls under an effect of the Shadowfell Despair. Characters who travel to Diremore add +1 to the DC Wisdom Check. And if the Characters are in the Leech, a character must add +2 to the check against the Shadowfell Despair. The Wilderness surrounding the leech gets a +1 to the DC check. The Province of Auguin is the same as Ashbourne.

Example: It is the Waxing Gibbous of the Shadow Fell Despair in Ashbourne the DC to check against will be 10 – 1=> 9. On the same day, in Diremore 10 + 1 -1 = 10. And in the Leech = 10 + 2 – 1=> 11.

If you already have Shadowfell Despair, the Base DC check is 15. The same rules apply.

  • New Moon -4 to DC Wisdom
  • Waxing Cresent -3 to DC Wisdom
  • First Quarter -2 to DC Wisdom
  • Waxing Gibbous -1 to DC Wisdom
  • Full Moon +0 to DC Wisdom
  • Waning Gibbous -1 to DC Wisdom
  • Last Quarter -2 to DC Wisdom
  • Waning Cresent -3 to DC Wisdom
  • New Moon -4 to DC Wisdom
