The moon was full last night. The sun is high in the sky now. A mundane reported a larger-than-normal-wolf in Central Park — had to be a therian.
I am assigned a new mission — kill the wolf and cover it up.
But I won’t.
Tracking the beast was easy. Not killing a wolf hell bent on biting me was the hard part. A net of air woven from the elements catches her mid air and I drag her back to her Alpha.
Her Alpha is grateful. He offered me his hand with surprise on his face. “You aren’t like the others.”
