Interview – Part I

I will always get suspicious when AJ starts looking at character questionaires and such. But when I get to answer them I’m happy. AJ will have answers for other characters too. Since it’s a fun exercise.

These are questions asked PRE The Last Phoenix. So beginning story answers.

I’m going to do it in three parts since it’s broken up into three parts. We’ve not read all the questions yet so no idea what you are going to see.

What did you eat for breakfast? Did you make it yourself? What time do you eat breakfast? Do you wash the pan after you cook the eggs or do you leave it for the maid to clean? Do you have a maid?

This morning I made a roasted tomato and basil fritatta and a little pesto sauce to go with my morning coffee – black. I ate my breakfast at 6:30am like I do every morning. I washed, dried and put away my pans I cooked with. I’m not wealthy enough to have a cook or a maid, not that I’d want one anyway.

Do you have a cat? How many cats do you have? Do you wish you were a cat? How many litter boxes do you have? Do you clean the litter boxes every day? Or does your maid clean the litter boxes?

Yes. I have a cat. I do not wish I was a cat. I do not own a litter box. Ophelia is toilet trained. There is no way in this world I could handle cleaning a litter box everyday. All the sand and dust and the smell… yeah talk about anxiety attack.

Do you go our for lunch or bring a sack lunch? Do you take an extra long lunch break and charge the company?

I usually go back to my apartment to eat lunch that I make ‘fresh’ from leftovers or chicken salad I made earlier in the week.

Are you an only child? How many siblings do you have? Are you close or are you estranged?

This is a hard question to answer. And I’m sure most of you actually know this one already. Up until I was 18 I thought I was an only child. I didn’t know who my father is, but when I was 18 that all changed. I found out who my father was and that I have 3 half brothers and 1 half sister. I am not particularly lose with any of my siblings. I get on well with Nick and Iris, but Adam, Marius and Tobias are relative strangers.

If you are adopted, do you know your birth parents? Do you want to find them?

I am not adopted but I didn’t know my father when I was growing up, so I can answer this question. Wanting to find my father was a minor concern when I was growing up. I did ask Dorian if he knew but he always lied and told me he didn’t. I eventually grew to despise my father, and then had him turn up as my idol growing up. Talk about confusing feelings.

Do you call your mother every day, or only on her birthday, Mother’s Day, and Christmas? Are your parents alive?

No I do not call my mother everyday or ever at all. As a child I wanted to have her in my life, but I eventually grew to despise her too. Though as an adult even if I had the opportunity to call her I couldn’t because she died while on a hunt with me.

Do you like to cook? Do you use recipes or make up your own recipes? Do you eat out every night?

I love to cook. I tend to use the same old recipes but I love to experiment and play but not for meals. If only I had someone to cook for and feed!

Do you put both socks on first, or one sock, one shoe?

Both socks then both shoes. Doesn’t everyone?

Do you have a dog? Is the dog a rescue dog or bought from a breeder?

I don’t have a dog. A dog is too high maintenance. I only have a cat because she’s unique. I don’t want to spoil the story coming up so that’s all ya’ll get!

Or perhaps a hamster? Or do you have any pets?

No other pets other than Ophelia

  1. I read these questions and thought, “Huh. These don’t really apply to my characters.” But then I thought of the possible answers and it amused me too much not to do it.

So, I’m working on my interview answers right now. I’ll be posting them as soon as I finish and make sure it all makes sense. :D So far, I’m having way too much fun with it.
