Intro is boring

Exercise: Write in Deep Third Person

Words: nut and rhetoric

Rider listened avidly to the Intro to Magic teacher. It was fascinating to him, but as he glanced at his peers he noticed their glazed over eyes. The sheer boredom in most of their faces was sure to etch lines as they listened to the teacher drone on about magical rhetoric. At least that was what the kid next to him muttered under his breath. How was it that they found this so boring? Magic was real. He knew that. He’d seen Isabel doing it and vampires and werewolves and all that — they were real. He knew it. But the teacher spoke about chaos and order and ups and downs and how without any of the magic in the world life itself wouldn’t exist. How souls were made up of energy and in our next lives we could be a flower or a fucking door. It was all very fascinating, that our energy was the same energy as the desk we sat at. Which is how magic was used, why things like necromancy worked. Why you could fly if you truly wanted to learn how to make it happen. Anything was possible. Yet every person on the classroom was bored. Rider could not fathom what was running through their heads. Was he a nut?
