Today’s word: undulate

How does that even mean that?
I know I don’t have a huge vocabulary but how does the flag undulated in the breeze sound better the flag waved in the breeze?
Now I mean no offense to anyone, but using big complicated words makes you sound condescending and like you really are trying to one up a person.
And another question is if undulated means to wave does dulated mean to not wave? But according to the red squiggles in the browser window dulated is not a word.
But ya know what. Nox used to provide the same red squiggles till AJ told it other wise. Hehe… AJ causes red squiggles too!

Is it wrong for me to want Nox to use a fussy word like undulate in a every day conversation? :lol: For some reason, it would crack me up.

Creepy word, makes me think of snakes! I think you could get away with talking about your precocious children if you wanted a big but not too pretentious word. Or you could be more ostentatious and talk about immersing yourself in the bourgeois milieu as you perambulated through the avenues and boulevards of NYC in search of your absentee lycanthrope…
