One of the greatest things about living where I live is the fact that I have nearly anything I want with in easy driving distance. I want to go skiing – drive up north a few hours and there you go. Want the beach, a few hours to the Hamptons or the Long Island Sound.

I don’t much care for beaches but I have been. I had a bad experience when I was little with the ocean – jelly fish suck! They sting actually but yeah that’s not a story I like to tell. Jace does though, he’ll tell you all about the time he peed on me.

I don’t know if it helped or not, but I don’t want to think about it.

I have been to the beach since. Dorian’s family took me a few times when I was in the Academy. The Venatori have a small getaway cottage out near the Sound. It was all about relaxing. I didn’t do much, the sand in everything bothers me. Sets my anxiety on edge, so I end up staying on the cottage porch cooking or reading.

I think a few of the local kids got me to play volley ball one summer. Which I suck at by the way. But then again I suck at most sports since I’ve never played them. Give me a fight or have me chase something and I’m good to go, but athletics is not my thing.
