Folly

I’m not going to take the typical route with this one. I could tell you all about my foolish childhood, or my beliefs or even ramble on about architecture. But one of the most mundane things I have ever done is to learn to dance. I’m not professional level by any means – but I had an instructor and it’s one of those anxiety ridding activities that I love. Letting the music control the body – the movements and precision needed. I’m still in control, but not – it’s relaxing.

Anyway, in 2011 – a few years after I graduated I was able to attend the Follies revival on Broadway at the Marquis Theater. I’m not a Broadway guy, but I love to watch the dancers so I went with a friend who is far more refined then I ever will be. Well not exactly a friend – more my mentor.

Dorian was the who who had encouraged me learn to dance and after he found out about the profound affect it had on my well-being he insisted I do it. He even scheduled it into my days as a meeting for him so Dae’lin wouldn’t find out I was going against her wishes.

I suppose I could be a chef or a dancer with a little professional work. Though I’m likely too old for the latter – they usually like them young. If the whole Venatori hunter thing doesn’t work out. Provided I don’t die in the process.

As a side note, I’d like to invite everyone to follow me on Medium where I am going on my very first adventure “The Last Phoenix”. Read Aspect – Outside the Club & Aspect – Mysterious Blue-Eyed Boy.  I will be posting more of my own thoughts on this adventure here and link you to the corresponding scenes.  So be sure to check back here too. ~Nox
