It’s Thanksgiving in the real world here in the good ole US of A. So as is the tradition I’d like to say what I’m thankful for.
I’m thankful for finding out the man of my dreams is literally the man of my dreams in all senses of the word. Sure Alex has his flaws. So do I. But when I say he’s perfect I’m not looking through rose colored glasses. It’s not the new in love feeling. To choose a cheesy line – “he completes me.”
I’m grateful for my family new, old and those yet to come. I’m grateful my mother gave me up to the Venatori. I hated her for it for years. But I have my brothers now who are a light into that world. A world I’m not a part of. I don’t think I could thrive in such a mundane existence. But then my eyes have been jaded already by the world I grew up in. But that leaves me with I’m grateful for my brothers. I know I have other family, but the twins are more my family than any of Kai’s kids ever were to me. They try, but they are Venatori, they are their father’s children and it’s hard for all of us.
I’m thankful for my friends. I’ve had some great ones, and probably will have a great many more to come in the new stories ahead of me.
And I’m grateful for all of you readers. You give me a life all my own. You come back to listen to me. You read my stories even with all the grammar mistakes and typos and plot holes. Without you, I might not have grown as much as I have. AJ writes for you (and me) and she’s met a great many friends through this, so again. Thank you for my existence!
