I don’t usually play the picture card with AJ, but this week’s prompt was all about your place in this world.
I love New York City. It’s my home. AJ loves it for the business. She loves it for the rich and diverse culture. She loves that it’s high tech, website driven and that it’s an easy place to google information on.
AJ loves the City. It’s a dream, a fantasy sort of place for her. Not because she’s never been but because she only got to explore the tip of the iceberg when she lived on Long Island. So many I should haves linger now.
But that isn’t my place in this world. My place is in AJ’s head. The place where I live, and grow and have my very own life. My place is wherever AJ is free or alone to think about me. Think about my world, my home, my life, my story. Places like her bed, the shower and driving to and from work. Granted the latter requires attention but that doesn’t stop us from having a conversation while she’s driving.
